Gary W. Amberson, FACHE
Senior Vice President, Hospital Operations
Mr. Amberson joins American Healthcare Solutions following his exceptional experience as a healthcare executive in various industry settings. Holding many key administrative roles in the hospital organizations that he has called home over the course of his long career, Gary has developed an expertise in ambulatory care, support services, planning, rehabilitation, financial management, post acute services, and supply chain management. Mr. Amberson primed himself for success in the healthcare industry by earning his undergraduate degree in Respiratory Therapy from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He further specialized himself by acquiring not only a Master's Degree in Healthcare Management but also in Accounting. Gary's strong educational background helped him to enter the hospital setting and progress quickly to management and director level duties. His personality and leadership skills have enabled him to achieve excellent physician relations, team building, problem solving, and change management abilities. Mr. Amberson has accomplished much through his management designations including notable census increases, facility upgrades/renovations, process improvement implementation, and high patient satisfaction marks. He has also been heavily involved with Joint Commission activities, acquiring accreditation and completing multiple surveys without any recommendations posed to the areas for which he was responsible. Having worked with hospitals ranging in size from 845 to 120 beds, Gary has the ability to realize each organization's unique potential and capitalize on it. His well-rounded and diverse background is a welcomed addition to the AHS team.

Julienne V. Custer
Associate Consultant
Julienne brings a diverse background to her position as Associate Consultant with AHS. Her undergraduate degree in Advertising/Public Relations from the Pennsylvania State University, coupled with her many professional talents, has enabled Ms. Cottetta to successfully contribute to the productivity and strategic service areas of the firm. Her market research, account management, and interpersonal communication capabilities were put to full use in the positions that she held prior to joining AHS. As a former team member of a global media group, Julienne has worked on several high profile accounts for some of the agency's Fortune 500 clients. Monitoring market activity and developing skilled client recommendations were part of her daily repertoire. More recently, her role as Senior Consultant for a Mid-Atlantic staffing firm has provided her with extensive knowledge of the recruiting industry as well as strong new business development tactics. All this combined with an excellent work ethic and personal healthcare industry ties make Julienne a wonderful addition to the AHS family.

Stephanie Dorwart, MHA
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Stephanie Dorwart is responsible for business activities and consulting services for productivity benchmarking, implementation and monitoring, as well as recruitment and retention engagements. Her analytical and mathematical skills, combined with in-depth practical, healthcare experience enable her to lead and support consulting engagements in a variety of disciplines and settings. In addition to the development of SHARP Staffing®, AHS's productivity tool, her work includes qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation, performance measurement development, and strategic planning. Ms. Dorwart received an MHA from the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public Health and graduated magna cum laude from Duquesne University with a BS in mathematics and education. Ms. Dorwart won the Delta Omega, Omicron Chapter, 2004 Outstanding Thesis Award.

Thomas J. Feldman, Sr.
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Thomas Feldman, Sr. brings over 30 years of extraordinary healthcare experience to American Healthcare Solutions. Prior to joining AHS, Mr. Feldman was acting CFO of Lighthouse Care Center of South Carolina, LLC. He has also served as senior vice president and corporate vice president of administrative & support services for the Health Alliance of Central New York. In addition, he serves as vice president of program & community development and corporate government affairs for Millard Fillmore Health System in Buffalo, NY. He is extensively involved in community and professional activities, including the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Mr. Feldman holds his masters of science degree in health administration from Trinity University, San Antonio, and his bachelor of science degree in business management and economics from State University of New York Empire State College in Saratoga, New York.

Phil Goodwin
Director
Phil Goodwin has more than four decades of senior health care experience. He has expertise in hospital management, health care system development and operation, mergers, acquisitions, organizational restructurings, physician alliance development, medical affairs, strategic planning, and issue facilitation with boards of governors.
Mr. Goodwin has served as president and chief executive officer of Camcare, Inc. and the Charleston Area Medical Center, in Charleston, West Virginia. Camcare, Inc.-formed by the consolidation of seven hospitals-has evolved into a state-of-the- art four hospital system with over 1,000 beds. It has its own foundation, academic residency programs, research and development capability, and is the cornerstone of the largest and most advanced health system in the state of West Virginia.
Mr. Goodwin previously served in various leadership positions at the Hillcrest Medical Center, a 351-bed facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and with Union Memorial Hospital and Stuttgart Memorial Hospital in Arkansas.
Mr. Goodwin is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and has held positions of prominence within the American Hospital Association, the West Virginia Hospital Association, and with VHA, Inc. (formerly Voluntary Hospitals of America). He has also served on the board and the executive committee of the National Committee for Quality Health Care, and has served on the National Council of Community Hospitals and the Wellness Councils of America.

Jan R. Jennings
President and Chief Executive Officer
Jan Jennings entered healthcare administration as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service Corps in 1970. He earned a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1976. He served the Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and the Shadyside Hospital between 1974 and 1980. At the age of 33 he assumed his first CEO position at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in Utica, New York and won the prestigious Young Hospital Administrator of the Year Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) in 1983. He served as CEO of the Millard Fillmore Hospital System for ten years in Buffalo. In 1993 he became the CEO of Children’s Memorial Hospital (Chicago) in affiliation with Northwestern University Medical School. Mr. Jennings has taught Health Policy at the Jacobs School of Management at the University at Buffalo and served on the adjunct faculty of the Graduate School of Public Health, Program in Health Administration, University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Jennings is a member of the faculty of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He was CEO at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pittsburgh and launched a dramatic turnaround from 2000 to 2003. He founded American Healthcare Solutions in 2004 and has advocated for those hospitals, physicians and health systems that have struggled, both financially and clinically. Mr. Jennings in known to express strong policy positions with respect to healthcare reform and is frequently referred to as America’s “Health Care Thought Provocateur.”

Brian Krugle
Vice President, Business Intelligence Systems
Brian Krugle brings a strong technological background to American Healthcare Solutions. His background includes working within the Information Services department of Giant Eagle, Inc., and most recently at the National Robotics Engineering Center at Carnegie Mellon University. A 2004 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh's School of Information Science, Mr. Krugle also has a background working with local non-profit groups since 1999, serving several years as a board member

Cynthia Nixon
Vice President, Senior Financial Consultant
Ms. Nixon is a proactive senior executive with an accomplished career encompassing over 28 years of executive, financial management and corporate business development experience. Cynthia has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience working through all organization constituencies to drive value-creating growth initiatives and strategies while imparting financial stability and executing operational details. Prior to joining AHS, she served as executive vice president and CFO of a 240 bed community hospital in West Virginia. Her areas of strength and expertise encompass the areas of benchmarking, budgeting, corporate development financial planning, analysis and reimbursement, labor relations and negotiation, operations, performance improvement, physician recruitment and contracting, revenue cycle and strategic planning. In addition, Ms. Nixon has participated in various tax-exempt bond financing transactions including participating bond transactions for the financing of cardiac hospital physician joint ventures. Ms. Nixon was federally appointed to serve two terms as a member of the CMS Medicare Geographic Reclassification Review Board.

RandiLynn Pollino, MHS
Vice President, Productivity and Benchmarking Services
RandiLynn Pollino brings excellence in communications and marketing to her current position at AHS. Her sales experience and understanding of human behavior enables her to effectively coordinate recruitment and retention activities for hospitals and health systems, and to support AHS in productivity engagements. Ms. Pollino facilitates all aspects of client engagements for her service lines, from prospecting to follow-up and from data collection to background research. Her interpersonal and managerial knowledge provides invaluable event planning and collateral design and development to AHS. Prior to joining AHS, Ms. Pollino was a sales consultant for a Fortune 500 company. She received undergraduate degrees in advertising and psychology from Pennsylvania State University.
